HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT REMOTE?

Most remotes are identified by their appearance, normally if the remote looks exactly the same it will work. One thing to double check is that the colour of the buttons matches as well as the rest of the remote, button colours are used with lots of manufacturers to identify the frequency of the remote. We have put helpful notes on the description of our remotes to help you make sure you have the right remote. We know the common mistakes so please check to see if there are any notes. If you are unsure please contact us, we are always happy to help.

WHAT IF I CAN’T FIND MY REMOTE ON THE WEBSITE USING THE SEARCH FACILITY?

If you can’t find your remote please send us a picture of your remote to sales@remotesandkeysonline.co.nz. We have new stock coming in all the time or we may have an alternative remote that will work fine with your system.

CAN I PROGRAM THE REMOTE MYSELF AND HOW?

All of our remotes can be programmed quickly and easily by anyone. We provide simple step by step instructions with all of our remotes and offer technical support in the unlikely event that you should need it.  Remotes are normally programmed by either setting a row of switches inside the remote or programming the receiver itself by pressing a sequence of buttons. 

WHAT DO I DO IF MY REMOTES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE?

If your remotes are no longer made we may have an alternative remote that will work with your system. If this is the case then the alternative remote will be shown on our website as a suitable replacement. If there is no replacement then you will need to fit our receiver kit to your system. This will not affect any existing remotes that you have that are still working. The receiver is a small box that is pre wired with its remotes already programmed. You just connect the receiver to your system using the instructions we provide. Our technical team are always on hand to help work out which wires go where.

DO REMOTES COME COMPLETE WITH BATTERIES?

Yes all remotes sold within New Zealand do come with batteries. Sales outside of New Zealand will exclude batteries to remain within the transportation of batteries regulations
